The Chubediah Memorial Music Award was established in 2025 as a way to carry on the legacy of Carl Leroy Enyeart.
Carl, more affectionately known to his peers by Chubediah, was a musician, poet, artist and steadfast supporter of the local music scene. He constantly attended local concerts and events and was always willing to share his passions with the next generation of artists.
Although Chub is gone, his spirit will live on through the Chubediah Memorial Music Award. This will grant a monetary award to a deserving young artist to help them tackle their next creative endeavor.
Chub himself did not begin to play guitar or write songs until he was 30 years old. We aren’t concerned if you are a new artist still trying to scratch out your place in the scene or if you are a well-established veteran with years of experience under your belt. We all need help to get where we are going sometimes. Chubediah would have been the person to help you keep your eye on the prize and keep creating!
Anyone who meets these few requirements may apply:
Must be 12-30 years of age.
Must be a resident of either Dauphin, Cumberland, Franklin, York or Perry County.
Must have an interest in pursuing a creative endeavor and needs help financially to bring the project to fruition, such as:
Studio Recording
Releasing A Song or Album
Buying Better Gear
Professional Photography & Branding
Website Design
Merchandising
Marketing
